To the Yale Community,

I write to let you know of a robbery that occurred this evening in front of 200 Liberty Street near the intersection of Liberty Street and Congress Avenue. Two masked individuals exited a red, four door sedan, and approached a woman standing on the sidewalk. They shoved her to the ground, took her wallet and fled the area in the vehicle toward Howard Avenue. No weapons were displayed and no physical injuries were reported. The New Haven police are investigating. Anyone who was in the area at this time or who may have information is requested to contact the Yale Police at 203-432-4400 or send a message via LiveSafe. The Yale Police Department is working closely with the New Haven Police Department and other agencies in effort to identify the individuals responsible for the recent rash of robberies.
