A message from Chief Ronnell A. Higgins
To the Yale Community,
I write to let you know that a robbery occurred this evening at approximately 5:12 pm the area of 329 Edwards Street. A graduate student was walking in the area when she was approached from behind by a young man in his teens. He shoved the student to the ground and took her purse. The teen was wearing a purple shirt, of medium build and was between 5’4- 5’6 in height. No weapons were displayed and no physical injuries were reported. He fled on Edwards toward Prospect Street. The New Haven police are investigating.
