Get Tuition Costs Reimbursed
You must submit your tuition reimbursement claims for non-Yale courses for processing by December 10, 8:00 p.m
Enroll in a Health Savings Account
Eligible Yale faculty and staff members can enroll in Aetna Smart Care High Deductible Health Plan with a Health Savings Account (HSA). Once you open the HSA, Yale will make a one-time deposit and monthly contributions to your account—depending on your coverage election.
Open a Flexible Spending Account
To cover out-of-pocket costs for health or dependent care, you must enroll or re-enroll each year in a health care or dependent care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) during annual benefits enrollment. Contributions are deducted from your paycheck before taxes are calculated.
Receive Free Accident Protection
When you choose Aetna Smart Care medical plan, you will receive accident protection for you and your covered dependents enrolled in the plan—at no extra cost—for a covered minor accident or serious injury.
Build a Healthier Lifestyle
Yale Health offers Yale Healthcasts and Emmi videos, which are free online programs that provide important health information. Being Well at Yale programs help you create a more balanced and healthier lifestyle.
Cover Short-term Disability Costs
During annual benefits enrollment, eligible staff members can enroll in Aflac short-term disability plan to help cover expenses that major medical insurance does not when ill or injured off-the-job.
Earn a College Degree While You Work
Earn college credits and get reimbursed through Yale’s Educational Assistance and Tuition Discount programs  Consult Yale’s Tuition Reimbursement Policy.
Make Changes to Your 403b  Retirement Savings Anytime
You can review and make changes to your 403b retirement savings portfolio through TIAA’s website at any time—not just during annual enrollment. Schedule a 1:1 consultation or register to attend a workshop through the website.
