Adoption Expense Support

Yale will reimburse up to $10,000 in eligible expenses associated with your adoption of a child.
Child Scholarship Plan for Faculty and Staff of Yale University Yale University offers eligible staff and faculty a tax-free scholarship toward an undergraduate degree at any accredited, degree-granting college or university in the world. The scholarship amount is one-half of the school tuition and general fees (excluding room and board) up to a maximum set by the University for each academic year. With awards issued each academic term, the total benefit can significantly impact the cost of an undergraduate college education. To qualify, both the employee and child(ren) must meet specific criteria set forth by the University.
Commuter Benefits Allow you to use pre-tax money for commuter transit and/or off campus parking. This will save you money on your cost of commuting to work at Yale, no matter how you travel.
Educational Assistance Programs Yale offers a number of programs to assist employees in furthering their education, including tuition reimbursement for non-Yale courses, tuition reduction, and course auditing at Yale.
Eldercare Planning Services This unique offering provides resources for your loved one that includes an in-person assessment from a professional care manager who will recommend and coordinate the right care for your family member.
Flexible Spending Accounts

Allow you to use pre-tax money that you have contributed from your pay, to reimburse yourself for eligible health care and/or child/dependent care expenses. By saving on taxes, you may reduce the cost of your eligible expenses.

Yale Advantages Yale Advantages is a program of employee discounts helping you get the best prices on a wide-variety of services including travel, gym memberships, restaurants, automobiles, and tax preparation—to name a few.
Yale Homebuyer Program Yale will assist an eligible employee to purchase a first home to be used as his or her primary residence in designated areas of New Haven. Eligible employees include faculty with an appointment of at least one year at 50% or more of full-time and permanent staff members scheduled to work 20 hours or more per week. The benefit consists of ten annual payments totaling $30,000. The first payment is $7,500, which consists of a first payment of $2,500 and an additional $5,000 bonus. The remaining nine annual payments are $2,500 each. Yale’s Homebuyer Program is the largest and most generous employer-assisted homeownership program offered by any institution of higher education in the nation.
