Change in Job Status
When changing your employment status at Yale, please be sure to contact Employee Services at 203-432-5552 for assistance in determining what benefits will apply due to a change in your job status.
Example: Job classification change from Clerical & Technical to Managerial & Professional, etc.
Please note : Benefits will differ based upon your job classification at the University. Effective date is the first day of the month following your change in job status. Do not assume that your current benefits will remain in effect with a status change.
Important information: Enrollment for healthcare coverage (e.g., medical, dental, vision) must be completed within 30 days of the effective date of your change in job status. Because a change in job status is a Qualifying Life Event, you may also add or drop dependents outside of the annual benefits enrollment period. To enroll or add/drop dependents from your healthcare coverage select the Benefits worklet in Workday.
