Wellness Resources
Yale’s WorkLife programs are an integral part of the university’s efforts to help faculty and staff balance the multiple responsibilities associated with work, academic, and personal life. The resources below have been compiled to help support physical and mental health and wellness through the pandemic.
- Your Well-Being Benefits: Offer confidential counseling sessions.
- Trestle Tree Stress Management Coaching (call toll-free at 866-523-8185): For support with managing stress (health, financial, social, or emotional) related to COVID-19, TrestleTree is available to help. You and your family can work with a TrestleTree Health Coach to better understand your stress so you can put good coping strategies into effect. Your dedicated Health Coaches are Registered Nurses and are ready to help you navigate during this time.
- Being Well at Yale: Review the Self-Care COVID-19 website with information including exercise programs to stream for free, resources for staying connected with friends, meditation apps, and games and activities to do solo or remotely with friends and family.
Aging Adults
- Managerial and Professional staff can use their sick time leave for any eldercare needs through June 30, 2021. For those employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the university will be discussing this issue with union leadership. We also encourage staff to work with their managers to consider flexible work arrangements as an additional eldercare resource.
- Administration for Community Living: View information supportive of older adults and people with disabilities during the COVID-19 crisis.
- Caregiver website: Learn how stress and loneliness can increase susceptibility to COVID-19.
