Local Bus Services
CTtransit provides local and express bus services in the greater New Haven metro area. Get a CT GO Card for all bus trips via CTtransit and CTfastrack. Order your card through Workday in the Commuter/Transit section and call 1-877-352-5552 with questions. The CT Go Card uses Fare Capping to calculate your fare and apply any discounts you are eligible to receive, so you are always paying the lowest fare with no guesswork.
Bicycles are accommodated on all CTtransit buses—as is also true for all Yale Shuttle buses—to facilitate your multi-modal trip.
The Hartford Express (Route 950) connects various New Haven locations with Hartford, with stops at Park & Ride lots in Wethersfield and Middletown.
Greyhound Bus Line offers stations across the state with service to New Haven.
Megabus serves New Haven/Hartford/Boston.
