Student Packages Update

Colleges Receiving Direct Shipment of Packages:

  • Davenport College - until further notice

  • Timothy Dwight College - for the rest of the year
  • Silliman College - for the rest of the year
  • Benjamin Franklin College - until further notice

Graduate Students Living On-Campus*

Your packages will be available for pickup at Student Receiving Center at 250 Church St. Pick up times will be from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday through Friday until further notice. Please provide your Yale ID. Face masks are mandatory to be worn upon pickup. 

*Living on-campus means residing/living at a Yale affiliated dormitory or housing.

Graduate Students Living Off-Campus*

You must either send the package to your physical address or to your rented PO Box at Yale Station USPS. Packages that arrive addressed to 250 Church St. for graduate students living off-campus are subject to be returned to sender.

*Living off-campus means you have your own apartment, and you are not residing/living at a Yale affiliated dormitory or housing.

  • Students residing in Saybrook College, you can pick up your items in the Lyceum Room located at the Saybrook gate on the corner of Elm Street and York Street. Students may contact Mica Luce at 203-432-0532. This will be used as a temporary space until further notice. Please provide your Yale ID. Face masks are mandatory to be worn upon pickup.
  • Students residing in Davenport College, you can pick up your items in the Art Gallery next to the common room. Student contact: Shaffrona Phillip-Christie, 203-432-2391. This will be used as a temporary space until further notice. Deliveries will be made after 12pm. Please provide your Yale ID. Face masks are mandatory to be worn upon pickup.
  • Students residing in Silliman College you will receive an email from the college that your packages were received. Items may be there prior to an email being sent so please check with Silliman college first before going to the Yale Student Receiving Center at 250 Church street. Packages can picked up in room 303, the Seminar Room, on the Third Floor/Byers Hall which is a left off the elevator, follow the hallway to the end. This will be used as a temporary space until further notice. Deliveries will be made after 12pm. Please provide your Yale ID. Face masks are mandatory to be worn upon pickup.
  • Students residing in Benjamin Franklin College, you can pick up your packages in the conference room 113 located next to the Head of College House - College Offices. This will be used as a temporary space until further notice. Deliveries will be made after 12pm. Please provide your Yale ID. Face masks are mandatory to be worn upon pickup.
  • For students residing in Jonathan Edwards, your packages will be available for pickup directly at your residential college. You will go to the receiving office at 68 High Street, just inside the main gate. Deliveries will be made after 12pm. Please provide your Yale ID. Face masks are mandatory to be worn upon pickup.
  • For students residing in Timothy Dwight, your packages will be available for pickup directly at your residential college. You will go to the package room, next to entry way D. Pick up times will be from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and on Saturdays 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. Please provide your Yale ID. Face m masks are mandatory to be worn upon pickup.
  • For students residing in Pierson CollegeOld Campus HallsBranford College, and Berkeley College, your packages will be available for pick up at Durfee Hall. Pick up times will be from 10 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday until further notice. Please provide your Yale ID. Face masks are mandatory to be worn upon pickup.
  • For Students residing in Ezra Stiles, Pauli Murray, Trumbull, Morse, and Grace Hopper, your packages will be available for pickup at the Student Receiving Center at 250 Church St. Pick up times will be from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday through Friday until further notice. Please provide your Yale ID. Face masks are mandatory to be worn upon pickup.

Friends nor family members cannot sign for other student’s packages unless approved by a manager.

Please take note that both locations do not accept student packages from Door Dash, Grubhub, Uber Eats, Edible Arrangements, Peapod, Amazon Fresh, Shoprite at Home, etc.

We only accept packages from: UPS, DHL, USPS, FEDEX, and Amazon with scannable tracking numbers. Any perishable or food items are not accepted at the student receiving center.

USPS mail (including magazines, bank statements, cards, and letters) is not accepted at the Student Receiving center and is subject to be returned to sender. All regular mail without a tracking number should be sent to your PO Box that you rent at Yale Station USPS. Apply for a PO Box.

Please address all UPS, DHL, USPS, Fed Ex, and Amazon packages only, following the sample below:

Students may not address their Priority/Certified mail to 250 Church Street nor their affiliated college. All Priority/Certified mail for students must be addressed to the student’s PO Box number, otherwise it will be returned to sender.

Please fill out the Missing package webform if you had an item shipped to the Yale Student Receiving Center at 250 Church Street, Lower Level, New Haven, CT and the following applies:

  • You were informed it was delivered to your college but more than 5 days have passed and they do not have the item
  • The item was delivered to the Yale Student Receiving Center and more than 5 days have passed and you have not been notified to collect your item
  • If you have received multiple reminders to pick up a package and you have gone to collect it and the item was not there, please cross reference your order history to see if the item was possibly already picked up (compare the tracking number in your pickup reminder to your email providing a tracking number from the vendor). We have had certain system issues and glitches where an item was not marked as picked up and the student already received the item. If you have a duplicate reminder, please fill out the Missing package webform and add in the additional comments field that it needs to be closed out. We will still need your name, tracking number, email, phone number, etc.)

Please note: The Yale Student Receiving Center and Campus Mail have received items without any name (first and last) and residential college. Since there are no identifiers, we have not been able to locate the students these items belong to. Please review your orders to see how they were addressed. If your item was shipped without this information, please include that in your survey in the additional comments section and describe what the item is/where it was shipped from. All surveys should include a valid tracking number for research.
