West Campus Shuttle

COVID-19 Shuttle Update

Social distancing on Yale shuttles is critical to the health and safety of the Yale community. As a result, based on new social distancing guidelines, shuttle passenger capacity and routes will extremely limited. Shuttles will operate at approximately 25% of normal rider capacity to ensure social distancing. Further, temporary changes to existing shuttle routes may be required.

Commuters may wish to consider other personal transportation options to and from campus, including personal bikes, Y-Bikes, and bike share bikes and we remind commuters that personal vehicles (which can be parked in Yale parking lots for free through June), Uber, and Lyft can also support campus mobility.

Beginning Wednesday August 19, 2020 West Campus service will return to the former format of individual green and purple lines. The route and schedule will be seven day and will not have any weekend reduction in service.

Departures from the key points of lot 22 and building 400 for green line and 333 Cedar and building 400 for purple line will be at half hour intervals. Green line will do a loop into east rock both at morning and evening commute hours. Purple line will continue to have dedicated stops at both Union Station and West Haven station throughout the morning. Return service to the train stations will continue to be on demand.

Please see the schedule for final departure times from West Campus.

The Yale University Shuttle is a free service that provides transportation for the Yale community between West Campus and the Central and Medical School campuses. The Green and purple lines run seven days per week. Please check the posted schedule for stop times.

When the shuttle is not running, West Campus occupants can request taxi service by calling West Campus Security at 203-737-3111.
