Rates and Terms

    The West Campus Storage and Receiving Center (SRC) is a secured facility, monitored, and protected 24/7. Yale Storage offers Private Storage options for departments/schools who may choose to separate their items from the General Rack and Floor Storage. Private Storage would place items in a separate room or enclosed area within the facility, with its own lock or key-card access. Yale Storage calculates their rates based on square footage, with a minimum storage fee of eight pallets (128 square feet).

    Storage Rates

    • General Rack or Floor Storage – $13.60 per pallet, per month.
    • Private Storage – $17.60 per pallet, per month.

    Yale Storage charges by the pallet (16 square feet). If any part of the stored item(s) exceeds the pallet storage dimensions of 48” x 48” wide and 48” high (16 square feet), the department/school will be charged for additional pallet(s). Yale Storage will bill departments/schools monthly. Storage fees will be prorated during the first month, based on the remaining days of the month after the move-in date. The full monthly rate applies for the following month(s). Yale Storage does not prorate based on the move-out date. Each department/school should inventory and confirm all items upon the first day of storing with Yale Storage.

    Disposal Fees

    Yale Storage disposes of and recycles in accordance with the Yale University Waste Management and Disposal Policies. Each department/school is responsible for any cost(s) associated with disposal, recycling and/or trash centers, if applicable. Complete a Yale Storage/Removal Request and a member of the Storage Team will contact you to plan and discuss costs.

    Terms and Conditions

    Yale Storage reserves the right to determine the storage location within the facility. Yale Storage also reserves the right to move stored items, without notice, based on availability, need, or exigent/emergent circumstances.

    By completing a Yale Storage Request and providing the department/school funding source (COA), you agree to the Rates & Fees, Terms and Conditions set forth by Yale Storage. Please note, we cannot accept grants as a funding source.

    Each department/school is required, on a monthly basis, to verify they are in compliance with the Yale University Retention Policy.

    The Yale Storage Team is always working to improve our operations. Upgrades to our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and enhancements to our facility are continually ongoing, as we strive to provide the very best services to the Yale Community.
