Long-Service Recognition

Congratulations to Yale staff members who are celebrating milestone service anniversaries from July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020!

From the President

Dear Colleagues,

As we prepare for the end of the spring term, I want to take a moment to recognize this year’s longest serving employees. Although we are not able to celebrate in person, members of the community across campus are immensely grateful to the staff members who have worked at Yale for twenty-five or more years. The 298 colleagues we honor represent 9,125 years of contributions to the university. Now more than ever, we appreciate how these numbers reflect the tremendous spirit of commitment to Yale’s mission that runs through our campus.

From conversations with many of the honorees over the last few decades, I know they think of their work at Yale not as “just a job,” but as a passion, something that gives them immense pride and satisfaction. This passion is rooted in their conviction that Yale is an institution that has helped shape history and add to the sum of human achievement. Our collective work ensures that Yale will continue to do so for generations to come.

Please join me in congratulating the honorees for all they do for Yale!

Warm regards,

Peter Salovey
Chris Argyris Professor of Psychology

Long-Service Recognition Yearbook

The Long-Service Recognition Yearbook (PDF) contains photos of honorees celebrating 25 to 50 years, in five-year increments. Honorees with anniversary milestones of 35-years and greater have stories or quotes that accompany their photos.

In Memoriam: Sadly, Stephanie Sherry, a 40-year honoree in Library Preservation, passed away after this yearbook was printed. She is remembered fondly by Yale colleagues. Stephanie is honored on Yale’s Remembrances website along with other Yale community members who have recently passed.
