My Time (Kronos)
My Time (Kronos) is Yale’s online timekeeping system for staff members to keep track of their hours worked and paid time off balances. A staff member may use various system features depending on his/her role at the University.
My Time (Kronos) enables supervisors to manage and control timekeeping for staff in a single system of record. Timecards and requests for time off are electronically routed to supervisors and designated approvers for their approval; supervisors and designated approvers must approve timesheets on a weekly basis by 5 p.m. Monday.
Beginning April 30, 2017, time worked for temporary staff (temps) and active retirees must be entered and approved in My Time. Temps working on grants will continue using paper timesheets to capture effort certification; their time must also be entered and approved in My Time.
In addition, departments who are currently using STU-CAS for student time entry will need to move to eTimesheets.
The following will continue to be entered in STU-CAS until May/June: M&P Overtime, C&T Second Job, and Shifts. All other STU-CAS time entries will need to be entered in: My Time (for temps), eTimesheets (for students), and Workday (for flat amounts - utilize Request One-Time Payment).
These changes are required in preparation for the launch of Workday Financials in July 2017.
