Yale Affiliated Child Care Centers

Calvin Hill Day Care Center and the Kitty Lustman-Findling Kindergarten aim to support families—working in partnership with parents to help meet the emotional, social, physical, language, and intellectual needs of their children. Learn more and schedule a tour.

The Edith B. Jackson Child Care Program (EBJ) has been central to families’ lives since 1972. EBJ offers year-round early childhood education in a warm and nurturing atmosphere. Learn more and schedule a tour.

The Phyllis Bodel Childcare Center cares for children ranging in age from six weeks through pre-kindergarten. The center provides a warm and supportive environment in which each child can develop and grow. Priority is given to parents who are faculty, students or postdoctoral fellows at the Yale School of Medicine. Learn more and schedule a tour.

The Nest at Alphabet Academy is passionate about early childhood education. The center focuses solely on children under the age of 3. They are committed to introducing children to the world of learning and strive to foster an environment that allows students to develop their innate sense of wonder. Resources

Child Care Subsidy Program

The Child Care Subsidy Program (CCSP) supports benefit-eligible faculty, managerial and professional staff, postdoctoral associates, and postdoctoral fellows with an annual childcare subsidy. Each year reimbursement applications are accepted for childcare that is provided between January 1 through December 31.

Adoption Support

Yale will reimburse Eligible Employees for Qualified Adoption Expenses up to $10,000 per eligible adoption under the Yale University Adoption Reimbursement Program.

Bright Horizons

Yale University offers a range of supportive benefits for its employees through Bright Horizons. The Back-Up Care program provides subsidized care for when your usual caregiver is unavailable, offering 10 days of backup care for both adults and children. College Coach supports eligible employees by offering educational counseling from experts to guide your child through educational challenges. Enhanced Family Support includes services such as a free subscription to Sittercity, allowing eligible employees to find various caregivers and enjoy discounts at participating childcare centers.

Yale Tutoring and Babysitting

The Yale Babysitting and Tutoring website connects Yale student babysitters and tutors to families within the Yale community who require assistance with childcare and tutoring.

Ovia Health

Ovia Health is available to managerial and professional staff, faculty, postdoctoral associates, and fellows. Yale’s Ovia Health maternity and family benefits support eligible employees who are starting a family, navigating pregnancy, or who are navigating caregiving for a child. The Ovia app offers access to expert content and tips, personalized health insights, and unlimited on-demand health coaching with registered nurses.

New Parent Packet

Yale’s Work + Life Office offers current Yale faculty, staff, students, and postdocs who adopt or give birth a New Parent Packet, which contains valuable information for new parents.
