Participants in the 2024 Yale Employee Engagement Survey (EES) retained their confidentiality throughout the survey and in the analysis of the results. The survey was administered by an outside firm, Perceptyx, on a secure external website and data was not stored on any Yale computer.

Staff members/participants were asked to log in using a Single Sign On (SSO), which at Yale is their NetID and password, to gain access to the survey. They were asked to respond to survey questions/items that align with the following categories: engagement, belonging, future vision, change and innovation, growth and development, performance enhancement, teamwork and collaboration, manager relationship, recognition and reward, workplace and well-being, open-ended questions, and a few demographic questions. It is important to note that if there were fewer than ten participant responses in a unit or any demographic category, the data was not reported for that unit or category. However, it was rolled up into a division-level report only, not a department report.

Results from the data analyses were reported only in the aggregate, in a manner that does not identify individuals. Results to a question were provided only if at least ten individuals answered that question. Results from different demographics (e.g., race, gender, disability) were not be reported unless ten or more respondents from that demographic answer the question.

The survey results displayed the number of responses; however, names nor individual information will not be known or available. The survey results, analyzed by Perceptyx, were used by Yale.
