Greet your new staff member with a New Employee Welcome Box. This specially prepared box includes a Yale mug, lanyard, and a photo frame. A blank “Welcome” greeting card is included for your personalization. Boxes can be purchased for $20 with a departmental COA and delivered to your workplace through Yale Printing & Publishing Services (YPPS.) Orders are delivered within two days or can be picked up the same day.
Step 1: How to order
- Open a Google Chrome or Firefox browser and log into the VPN.
- Visit the YPPS order site: YPPS Order Site.
- Click the “Click here to place an order” button.
- If you are ordering for the first time, use the drop-down arrow and select “Walk-in.”
- Click the “Login” button.
- Click on the gray “YPPS Specials” icon.
- Select “New Employee Welcome Box.”
- Enter quantity.
- Click the “Add to cart” button.
- To complete your order, click the “Check out” button then follow the prompts.
Step 2: Prepare the box and card
To prepare to give a Welcome Box to your new staff member, first remove the shrink wrap and the “Welcome” greeting card laying on top of the box. (You do not have to break the box seal to remove it.) Add your handwritten personal message to the card.
Step 3: Present the box and card
This is the fun part! Leave the box and card at your new hire’s workspace to surprise them or present it in person. Shipping a box is also a nice way to welcome a new staff member who is working remotely.
