In cases of fire or danger to life or bodily injury, always call 911 first.

Otherwise, in case of a building emergency, call Yale Facilities at 203-432-6888. Their customer service providers will ensure that an appropriate response to your emergency request will happen quickly.

If you email or submit an urgent or routine request, a response will be received during standard business hours depending on the request type.

An emergency request is defined as a flood, fire, loss of utilities, risk of bodily injury and/or discharge of hazardous material.

For urgent or routine service requests:

Please submit non-emergency work requests through AssetWorks, make sure to add your building address in the description. Please read the “before submitting a ticket in AssetWorks below.

Some Yale locations submit maintenance requests through an alternate system. If you work in one of the buildings listed below, then you have a system for your building that will make the response much faster. The property management company will either handle the request directly or pass it to the appropriate Yale office. Directing your request to the property management company is the fastest way to receive help.

Before submitting a ticket in AssetWorks

If you need an extra cleaning, extra work done within your area (i.e. hanging shelves or pictures), or would like walls repainted, then make sure to fill out your COA as a charge to you the customer. This should be a custom/department custom selection in AssetWorks. You cannot charge to grants or capital projects. This must be a department COA.

There are several departments at Yale, that have their own way of submitting work requests.

You will be able to check the status of your work request, and any notes on its progress. Please use this search tool before inquiring about your request.

Note: Do not hire or request work from a contractor yourself.
