Introducing YourYale
The It’s Your Yale website is now home to a new weekly e-newsletter, YourYale, for and about the staff; learn more about what to expect.
Dear Yale Staff members,
I am pleased to announce the debut of YourYale — a weekly e-newsletter from the Office of Public Affairs & Communications for and about Yale staff. YourYale will appear in staff inboxes Monday mornings starting March 20. The underlying content will be posted on the It’s Your Yale homepage. I hope you enjoy reading this new publication as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it — especially because Yale staff helped shape it.
Last year, nearly 1,500 Yale staff members took part in an email survey, focus groups, or user testing to help establish YourYale’s focus and direction. They told us they would welcome advice about Yale’s benefits and resources and expressed a desire to understand the university’s priorities and how the work we all do advances them in service of Yale’s mission.
We have taken this input to heart. Every week, YourYale will offer original features related to these and other priorities, including wellness, career development, and the cultivation of a sense of community. Other stories are intended to inspire and entertain, like the lead feature in our first issue, which highlights some of the many tools staff use — some as familiar as sewing machines, others as specialized as life-like medical manikins — to do the work of Yale.
All Yale staff are automatically subscribed to YourYale, and we encourage you to share the publication with your contacts outside the university. Anyone may subscribe; no university affiliation is necessary.
We welcome your comments and suggestions — please email us at youryalenews@yale.edu.
Enjoy!
Sincerely,
Karen N. Peart, M.S., J.D.
