Assault Elm at High Street October 21, 2019

To the Yale Community,

I write to let you know of an assault that occurred this evening at approximately 7 pm on Elm near High Street.  A graduate student was walking when he was assaulted by a group of 6-7 youths on bicycles; one was wearing a face mask. The group tackled the student, punched, and struck him with a traffic cone. Nothing was taken from the student and no physical injuries were reported. The New Haven police are investigating and can be reached at (203) 946-6316.
