Award Lifecycle
Proposals
Yale University requires that all sponsored project proposals be reviewed and approved by the Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP).
Award Management

Clinical Trials
The Clinical Agreements Team is authorized to negotiate and execute non-federal clinical trial agreements (CTAs) on behalf of Yale University, in accordance with University Policy 1104.
Contracts
The Contracts team is responsible for the review, negotiation and execution of contracts with corporate partners, the Federal Government, peer institutions, as well as certain complex agreements with non-profit foundations and other governmental entities.
Subaward Monitoring and Management
The Subaward Management Team provides support to faculty and administrators for the negotiation, execution and monitoring of all outgoing subawards (both federal and non-federal) issued under grants and contracts managed by OSP.
Financial Management
Sponsored Projects Financial Administration (SPFA) is responsible for the post award administration of sponsored awards. The office works closely with departmental business offices, business support staff as well as faculty to ensure financial compliance and proper accounting of externally sponsored funds.
