Message to managers from Nate Nickerson
On November 17, Vice President for Communications Nate Nickerson sent a message to Yale managers highlighting Provost Strobel’s recent Letter to the editor of the Yale Daily News (YDN). In the letter, the provost responds to a YDN news piece that featured criticism of the university’s administrative staff.

Healthy Yale
A message on November 19, 2021 from Yale’s COVID-19 Coordinator, Stephanie Spangler, addressed this—“Recognizing the hard work of many during the pandemic”—and more: Read Healthy Yale message.

Paid parental leave for M&Ps is extended
Paid parental leave for M&Ps will be extended to eight weeks effective January 1, 2022. This enhancement will provide an additional four weeks of eligible paid benefit for the birth or adoption of a child. Additionally, beginning in January, M&P staff members who need to take a short-term disability leave will no longer be required to spend down sick time before using short term disability. Only the five-day waiting period will remain in effect. Message to M&Ps.

COVID safety guidance for people traveling from Yale for Thanksgiving
Yale Environmental Health and Safety has put together information on safe travel practices as we all head into Thanksgiving.

Crisis Care Assist benefit extended through December 31, 2021
Friendly reminder that this message was sent to the Yale community to announce that the University’s Crisis Care Assist benefit has been extended through December 31, 2021. Crisis Care reimburses faculty, staff, postdoctoral fellows, and postdoctoral associates for child and eldercare provided by those in their personal networks.
