Tell us about yourself.
I am a native of New Haven, CT, and graduated from James Hillhouse High school. I earned my bachelor’s from Springfield College in Human Services. Health and fitness are essential to my well-being. Over the last four years, I have been living a vegan lifestyle and working out before coming to work. This helps me maintain better focus, less stress, mental clarity, and discipline with time management.
In my previous position as an office manager, I was hands-on with servicing clients with mental health and substance abuse dual diagnoses. I found meaning and purpose in assisting my community for over ten years. I have a sincere passion for seeing constituents reunite with their families and was able to see them reintegrate into society with a clean slate. In this position, I saw the importance of mental health, which helped me to become an advocate for change.
