Detective Hershman was pinned by his father, retired judge, Honorable Peter Hershman.

The Yale Police Department (YPD) hosted a promotion ceremony for Angelo DeLieto and Seth Hershman at the Rose Center.

DeLieto was promoted to the rank of sergeant, and Hershman was promoted to the rank of detective for the Investigative Services Bureau.

The program opened with remarks by Assistant Chief Von Narcisse. Then, Chief Anthony Campbell led the audience in prayer and shared comments about each officer.

Sergeant DeLieto was pinned by his wife, Brittany, who was accompanied by their daughters, Allie and Isla.

“DeLieto and Hershman have demonstrated their dedication and commitment to our work at YPD. They’ve answered my late-night calls and text messages asking what they can do to help. They are equipped and ready to take on the additional responsibilities,” Campbell said.

Evelise Ribeiro, chair of the New Haven Police Commissioners, swore in both officers.

Sergeant DeLieto and Detective Hershman were surrounded by their family, friends, and YPD officers.
