Steve Gaudreau joined Yale in May 2019 with over 25 years of experience implementing, leading, and supporting financial systems, strategies, and teams. In this role, Steve serves as chief steward for Yale’s financial systems and data, providing direction, vision, and leadership in the development and strategies for leveraging the use of technology to support the university’s financial activities and operations.
Prior to joining Yale, Steve spent more than 18 years at GE Capital, holding many different and diverse senior roles. These included managing program and operational teams that supported applications in Finance, Operational Risk, Compliance, Supervisory Affairs, Legal, Sourcing, and Human Resources. Before GE, Steve worked at KPMG LLP as a manager on their Oracle consulting team and at Choicepoint, Inc. as a finance systems analyst.
In addition to his strong technical knowledge and skills, Steve has demonstrated strength in developing, mentoring, and coaching staff, building strong relationships with his team and clients, and being an accessible and visible leader. He received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Central Connecticut State University and is Six Sigma, Green Belt Certified.
