Staff Appreciation Day is August 16—show the love!

In response to the July 30 message from Jack Callahan and Scott Strobel regarding the increased fluidity of the return of staff to campus, Staff Appreciation Day has been postponed to Monday, August 16.

While work life gradually transitions back to campus and begins to feel a bit more normal, we find that we are still not able to come together in person as one big, happy staff family to celebrate Staff Appreciation Day in the traditional manner. But that won’t stop us from sharing BIG gratitude for the heroism performed by Yale’s staff members in the challenging year we leave behind.

In early August, all staff members will receive a token of appreciation on their desks or in their workspaces. (Sshhh—it’s a surprise!) Additionally, all staff members should be on the look-out on August 16 for a message of appreciation from President Salovey and the leadership team.

Let’s take this one step further to make this moment extra special: All managers are invited to post a note of gratitude to their teams by August 13 to help us create the single, largest electronic thank-you card ever at Yale. We’ll share that card with everyone on August 16.
