Based on specialized knowledge and experience, coordinate and facilitate activities for a large designated technical program or function

Provide a wide variety of both basic and complex technical and administrative assistance in support of the smooth operations of the designated program or function.

Provide customer service and technical support related to the program or function, ensuring that customers and users are provided appropriate, efficient and helpful assistance and that university procedures, policies, and protocols are followed.

Answer questions, provide guidance, and resolve daily problems and obstacles.  Train and oversee students and casual workers regarding program activities and transactions.

Perform accounting and bookkeeping functions.  Maintain financial records, reconcile accounts, and input/transfer data based on experience with current University systems (e.g. Oracle, Banner) and knowledge of appropriate procedures, policies, and protocols.

Maintain logs, spreadsheets, databases, and other files regarding activities of designated program or function.  Compile statistics; generate reports, review data.

Communicate and coordinate with business office, supervisors, managers, and other staff regarding the activities and status of transactions.

Train, instruct, and provide guidance for regular, student, or casual workers and others in their duties.  May act as lead person in the absence of the supervisor.

Lead responsibilities, such as:
Administrative leadership of a unit or function, including overseeing and coordinating projects or work processes, and distributing and monitoring the work of at least 2 regular FTEs as a lead worker.

Responsibilities require high skills or unusual skills not typically required by others in the same job title. For example:

Skilled in creating and designing complex tables, macros, forms, queries, and reports; developing databases, data entry standards and database procedures.

Expert use of various operational support systems and applications such as CAD; web design and development tools; or digital imaging/documentation software.
