Yale in Action: Help build a safer community for women and children

Yale University, United Way of Greater New Haven, and BH Care are partnering on a painting project at a safe home serving women and children who seek to begin new lives in a safe and positive environment.

On Friday, December 1, the Yale in Action Core Committee is recruiting two teams of 30-35 people, one for the morning and afternoon shifts (8 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m.). All participants will paint the interior of a 4,706 square foot transitional home that is located in greater New Haven. The three floors of the home need new paint.

Yale Champions are taking part and bringing a friend along. Join them in building a safer community for hundreds of women and children!

Since this activity takes place during regular work hours, staff members who wish to participate should gain approval from their supervisors.

For additional information on the event itself, please contact Brian Mezzi, United Way resource manager, by email (bmezzi@uwgnh.org) or phone (203-691-4204).
