To the Yale Community,
I write to let you know of an armed robbery that occurred this morning at approximately 6:40 am on Cedar Street at Amistad Street. A Yale New Haven Hospital employee was approached by an unknown man who displayed a handgun and demanded her purse. He then fled in an awaiting gray or brown SUV. No physical injuries were reported. The New Haven police are investigating. If you have any information regarding this incident, please call the New Haven Police at (203) 946-6316 or Yale Police at (203) 432-4400.
