To the Yale Community,
I write to let you know that an attempted armed robbery occurred this evening at approximately 7:29 pm in the area of 450 Temple Street. A Yale professor was walking in the area of Temple and Trumbull Streets when approached by a male wearing a ski mask, brandishing a handgun, and demanding money. The male fled into a silver sedan, possibly a Honda or a Mazda, driven by another individual. Nothing was taken, and no physical injuries were reported. The New Haven police are investigating. The Yale Police are working collaboratively with New Haven Police to identify those responsible.
