Security Departments and Offices

Security

Yale University Security is committed to providing a safe and secure environment to the entire campus community. To accomplish this, we rely on employees committed to providing stellar customer service and security. Yale Security officers patrol the campus 24 hours per day and perform a variety of services, including walking escorts and lockout assistance. Security officers cover the entire campus on marked patrol SUVs, electric cars, and Segways. Security officers are non-sworn and have direct communication with dispatch centers and Yale Police to provide improved efficiencies and information sharing. All Security officers receive extensive training through new hire and continuous in-service training.
