Announcing Human Resources University (HRU) Development Café

May 29, 2020

Dear Human Resources Colleagues,

Our HR Workplace Survey Action Planning Team has been working diligently to identify needs and opportunities for improvement based on our historical Workplace Survey results. Recently, the team partnered with Organizational Effectiveness and Staff Development to help us move forward in addressing some of those needs.

One of the improvement areas identified through our Workplace Survey results was the enhancement of development and learning for our HR organization.

In response to this need, I’m pleased to announce HRU Development Café, a new segment of Human Resources University (HRU) that will deliver regular development programs to our HR community. I invite you to read the program description for the first Development Café and register to attend the Zoom session at the link below.

Becoming Your Own Expert: Mastering Your Profession

In this session, our panelists will highlight their learning journey and the ways they have achieved an elevated level of professional expertise. They will share personal career tips, how they expanded their areas of knowledge outside of their core discipline, the importance of coaching and networking for their continued success, and provide advice on what has kept them focused and current in the field of Human Resources.

The esteemed panel discussion will feature the following individuals from Human Resources:

  • Deborah Arcangelo-Vitale, Associate Director, Best Practices
  • Jonathan Bailey, Equal Opportunity Support Specialist
  • Tim Capezzone, Principle Solutions Architect, HCMS
  • Donna Caporale-Colon, Senior Compensation Consultant
  • Raina Sorgenti, Associate Director, Absence Management Programs
  • Katie Suits, Manager, Candidate Development

I encourage all HR staff to take advantage of this opportunity and join our colleagues on Friday, June 12, from noon - 1:30 p.m. Register here

Sincerely,

Janet Lindner
Vice President for Human Resources & Administration
