For the past few months, our entire team has been dedicated to planning and preparing changes to our dining experience in anticipation of the return of students this fall. This month, we’re proud to highlight the teams who have been unwavering and collaborative to prepare for students’ arrival next month – both in Davenport and supporting Facilities’ efforts.

Practice makes perfect! Members of our team have been heavily involved in setting up the dining hall at Davenport College to prep, test, and rehearse the operational modifications we’re implementing to provide a safe dining experience for everyone in the fall. From plexiglass dividers, packaged meal options, mobile ordering, new hand washing sinks, one-way traffic patterns, and new signage – our team has been busy! We have had the pleasure of sharing our hard work with many University leaders and stakeholders to ensure we’re complying with guidelines to soon begin executing across all 14 colleges.

Facilities Support Teams
We’re all in this together! We’ve been slowly welcoming staff back to campus to carry out the critical work necessary for a successful start to the Fall semester. Many of those individuals were part of a special task force, assisting our colleagues in Facilities to empty, clean and prepare rooms within the residential colleges so they’re ready to welcome new students in the fall.
