Office of Early Childhood’s Parent Cabinet established

April 29, 2022

On Thursday, April 7, Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont announced the establishment of the Office of Early Childhood’s Parent Cabinet. This new cabinet includes a diverse, parent-led advisory group that meets regularly to help improve the lives of children and families across the state.

The Parent Cabinet works directly with the state agency that oversees child care and Care 4 Kids, home visiting, licensing, and early intervention.

Among the 15-person cabinet are two Yale University staff members: Symone Maguire, Assistant Director of Human Resources at the Yale Law School, and Human Resources’ own Marinda Monfilston. Find out more about your parent cabinet representative.
