Welcome new Early Career Development Program participants!

IT welcomed four new staff hires into the Wolson Early Career Development Program on July 5. The program, now in its tenth year, recruits recent grads to partake in three 6-month rotations throughout different areas of IT. To date, the program has successfully hired over 20 participants into permanent professional roles throughout IT. Please welcome our newest cohort!

Amy Rodriguez

Amy Rodriguez
Amy Rodriguez graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a BS degree in Mathematics and is working towards an MS in Computer Science. She is looking forward to meeting new people and acquiring new skills. For fun, she enjoys reading, hanging out with family, friends, and her cat, and going to the gym.

Zhongheng Sun

Zhongheng Sun
Zhongheng Sun is a 2020 graduate from New York University with a BA degree in Computer Science. He is looking forward to “finding my niche in IT through the ECDP and hopefully contributing to the greater Yale community through my work here.” Zhong is a big fan of 2020 hit Nintendo game Animal Crossing, visiting museums, and spending too much time lounging at the local Target.

Matthew Urquia

Matthew Urquia
Matthew Urquia recently graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a BS degree in Computer Science and a focus on Information Systems. He looks forward to “learning the most I can in the EDCP role to better support the university.” He loves music and sports—mostly basketball.

Trey Gary

Trey Gary
Trey Gary is a graduate of the University of New Haven with a BS degree in Computer Engineering. “Within my ECDP role, I have a strong desire to expand my knowledge and gain experience in the IT field, improving my programming abilities, and contributing to any assistance needed. I look forward to working alongside my peers.” His favorite pastime is photography.
