Yale Cybersecurity Awareness Turns One

August 11, 2022

It’s hard to believe it has been a year since we launched Yale’s first-ever Cybersecurity Awareness program. Thank you for joining us during our inaugural year. We appreciate your participation, engagement, and enthusiasm for cybersecurity awareness.

Over the last year we:

  • Launched the Cybersecurity Awareness Advisory board to provide strategic program direction
  • Introduced three of our four foundational awareness topics
  • Offered interactive learning experiences to build cyber fitness
  • Invited guest speakers to share their knowledge with the Yale community
  • Began distributing a monthly cybersecurity awareness tip
  • Debuted our quarterly newsletter, Bee Cyber Fit

Here’s what people have to say about our awareness program activities:

“Just wanted to let you know that was one of the best and most enjoyable training classes that I have attended throughout all of my years at Yale!”

“Thank you very much for this fun and educational session! This was the best (zoom) meeting I’ve had in my ten years at Yale, and other departments have a lot to learn from all of you. It was light, fun, and interactive. You had my attention the minute I joined. So, thank you very much for making my day and having fun while learning! Looking forward to another session.”

“I wanted to let you know what a great lunch and learn this was. Such great, practical advice to hear, and I thought David was awesome at presenting to such a diverse audience. I’m ready for the video to get posted so I can refer some folks to it that have already asked me about it.”

What’s happening in year two?

We’re just getting started and have ambitious plans, including the launch of the Bee Cyber Fit podcast in October. Sign up to receive our email notifications when new episodes drop. You will also be entered to win our Bee Cyber Fit podcast prize pack.
