Yale Fleet billing updates

Summary

• Beginning with FY23, Yale Fleet will begin billing actual costs on a monthly basis.
• Billing will process between the tenth and fifteenth day of the month following the month-end-close.

Details

Beginning with Fiscal Year 23, Yale Fleet will bill actual costs monthly. Billing will process by the fifteenth day of the month following the month-end-close.

For example, July costs will be billed by August 15. In the event of billing issues, it will be completed by the end of August. That will be the target monthly billing cycle moving forward.

There were two billings in June FY23:

• May costs in mid-June.
• June costs at the beginning of July (in accordance with the Controller’s deadline for interdepartmental billings).

Due to timing differences, some costs may post a month later than the service date, depending upon clearing through Workday. All fiscal year costs will be charged prior to fiscal year-end dates as determined by the Controller’s Office.
