New Year, New You Campaign

The start of a new year is a great time to review your cybersecurity habits and give them an upgrade! Our New Year, New You campaign will help you resolve to be cyber fit in 2023.
Join us for our:

  • Scavenger hunt – put your cyber problem-solving skills to the test with our cybersecurity awareness puzzle
  • Bee naming contest – the Bee Cyber Fit mascot’s identity hasn’t been stolen – it never had one! Help our mascot start the new year with a new name.

You may even win some of the cool swag up for grabs to help you be cyber-aware.

If you suspect something, say something

We can increase our cyber fitness by paying attention to both our physical and digital surroundings.

Immediately report any suspected security incidents to the Information Security Office. This is especially true if you work with high risk data, like HIPAA covered data. Did you know that Yale has legal obligations to report a security incident involving HIPAA data within a certain period of time? As soon as you notice something is amiss, the clock starts ticking! Visit the Information Security Report an Incident page to find out more.

How can you increase the physical security of your data? Always lock your computer when you step away, talk to your IT support provider if you need help setting up your computer to lock automatically.
