Electronic payment process and update

Departments that accept incoming electronic payments should contact Treasury Services for assistance and for the best available method. Non-sanctioned payment methods should be avoided and may result in the high fees charged to the university if  payments are accepted.

• Large payments should ideally come to the university in the form of wire or ACH with check as an alternative method.
• Smaller payments and retail payments may be accepted as credit card payments through the university’s Touchnet platform.
• No department should enroll the university in Paymode or similar payment methods, as there are often fees associated with these methods. Effective July 1, 2023 any department that enrolls the university in a payment method that reduces the net amount received or requires the university to pay fees will be charged those fees.
