HRISS team reconnects during Staff Spirit Week

June 30, 2023

This month, the HR Innovation and Strategic Support (HRISS) team had some of their fully remote/out-of-state staff visit Yale during Staff Spirit Week and were able to all get together in person. This was a wonderful experience for the team to unite and have some fun on campus. Check out some testimonials from a couple of HRISS members on the event:

“The timing for the HRISS teambuilding experience was perfect for me, as it occurred right after my 2-month mark as a new member of the HRISS family. In no time at all, I felt so welcomed and a part of the team. During our retreat, I had the opportunity to connect with nearly everyone on the team! We shared meals, played games, took photos, shopped, grabbed coffees, toured the campus, attended happy hours, had pizza, and MORE. As a newcomer, I’ll never forget how impressed I was by the genuinely good time colleagues were having with one another. Everyone brought forward their true selves and the amount of laughter was evidence of how much everyone enjoyed one another’s company.” -Kara Reynolds, HCMS Project Manager, HRISS.

“The HRISS onsite team-building event was a fantastic experience that allowed us to connect with our coworkers outside our usual work environment. The activities emphasized team building and encouraged collaboration and communication. It was heartwarming to see colleagues working seamlessly together, fostering unity within our team. The event provided a much-needed break from our routine and allowed us to recharge and grow personally. Overall, the team-building event was a resounding success. It provided us with a valuable opportunity to connect with our coworkers, enhance our teamwork skills, and create lasting memories.” -Whitney Bradshaw, Associate Director, HRISS.
