Changes to gift cards and prepaid reloadable cards

To all faculty and staff that have a prepaid Bank of America card and those that use Bank of America gift cards:

Effective July 1, 2023, all physical gift cards will be issued through U.S. Bank. There is no change to the Spend Authorization process and no transition period. Staff will notice the gift cards are a different color but otherwise are the same as Visa gift cards. No action required for this change.

Effective July 1, 2023, no new prepaid reloadable debit cards will be issued from Bank of America. Those with existing cards may continue to request funding via a Spend Authorization until August 1, 2023. No action is required from faculty and staff at this time. Cardholders will receive further information regarding this transition in the coming weeks.

For faculty and staff that do not have a prepaid reloadable debit card and need to process a Spend Authorization during this transition period please choose an alternate payment method including check, direct deposit, cash or gift cards.
