Click with Caution: Recognize, Relax, Rethink
September 14, 2023
Recently, Yale has seen an uptick in phishing emails. These messages are designed to trick the Yale community into clicking on links or attachments. Clicking on malicious links can lead to compromised accounts, data leaks, and other cyber threats to Yale’s resources.
Phishing attackers never rest, and we continue to see campaigns where people have unintentionally shared their NetID, password, and other sensitive information.
In this new campaign, we’re sharing simple steps to encourage mindful behavior and be cyber-safe:
- Recognize red flags indicating suspicious messages
- Relax before reacting and take a moment to breathe and pause
- Rethink the way we respond
Keep building your cyber muscles by checking out the newly redesigned Click with Caution page. You can also satisfy your sweet tooth with our FUDGE model of common phishing tactics.
