AI In Medicine Symposium

The Section of Biomedical Informatics & Data Science at Yale School of Medicine invites you to submit abstracts and register to attend the inaugural AI in Medicine Symposium, to be held on Friday, February 2, 2024.

The 2024 AI in Medicine Symposium, led by Andrew Taylor, MD, MHS, is curated to offer deep insights into this rapidly evolving field. Join this comprehensive symposium to discover how AI is transforming biomedical imaging, NLP, clinical applications, bioinformatics, and more. Engage in dynamic lightning talks, panel discussions, and a poster session that will enrich your understanding and network in the realm of medical AI.

Opening remarks will be delivered by Nancy J. Brown, MD, Jean and David W. Wallace Dean of the Yale School of Medicine and C.N.H. Long Professor of Internal Medicine, as well as Lucila Ohno-Machado, MD, MBA, PhD, Waldemar von Zedtwitz Professor of Medicine and Biomedical Informatics and Data Science, and Deputy Dean for Biomedical Informatics.

Lightning talks will cover biomedical imaging and computer vision; natural language processing (NLP), clinical applications of AI, and bioinformatics. Join our morning panel session for a discussion of generative AI in medical education, basic science, and clinical practice. Speakers at the afternoon panel will discuss AI partnerships between the Yale New Haven Health System and Yale School of Medicine.

Location: The Anlyan Center Auditorium, 300 Cedar St, New Haven

Registration: The symposium will be free and open to all members of the Yale community. Register for the symposium here.

Participation: We are accepting abstract submissions for the poster session, panels, and 10-minute lightning talks. Awards will be given for top student and faculty submissions. Interested speakers can submit an abstract here. Submissions will be accepted until Monday, January 15. We will notify you if your abstract is accepted by Monday, January 22.
