Consolidation of travel booking solutions

Yale is consolidating its travel booking service providers, and World Travel is now the preferred provider.

Beginning May 1, 2024, Egencia should not be used for new bookings.
Details
Consolidating travel booking with World Travel will:
- Provide a universal, easy-to-use platform for all Yale travelers that reflects all negotiated travel discounts.
- Support compliance with federal guidelines for sponsored awards while eliminating the need for excessive documentation.
- Provide experienced travel agents when needed to guide the booking process and address any travel-related issues.
On-demand training is available for:
- Booking federally sponsored travel: Covering basic policies, profile set-up, booking on World Travel, preparing expense reports, and approving expense reports.
- Booking non-sponsored travel: Covering profile set-up and booking on World Travel.
While these training courses will be available on an ongoing basis, travelers should complete the training before May 1, 2024.
Faculty and staff may use World Travel to book travel now. Travelers should review and update their profiles or set them up if they haven’t already done so. This will make the booking process faster and easier. Please refer to training materials for more information on setting up profiles.
