One IT Conference: Networking and learning ahead

February 8, 2024

The inaugural One IT Conference, “Advancing Collaborations: One IT as a Catalyst” is gearing up to be an inspiring day featuring Yale leaders, IT experts, and more. It aims to help the IT community understand how academic leadership develops strategic goals for the university, explore the impact of innovations across various technology domains, and gain knowledge of practical applications and future trends.

The opening keynote panel features three university leaders who will share their thoughts on how technology is critical to supporting Yale’s mission activities. Our own John Barden, Vice President for Technology and Campus Services, will moderate the discussion. Our panelists are:

  • Barbara Rockenbach, Stephen F. Gates ’68 University Librarian
  • Mike Crair, Vice Provost for Research, and the William Ziegler III Professor in the Departments of Neuroscience and Ophthalmology and Visual Science
  • Jenny Frederick, Executive Director of the Yale Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning and Associate Provost for Academic Initiatives

Concurrent sessions at the conference led by peers will present excellent opportunities for Yale IT to learn skills, best practices, applications, and use cases that advance its service of the university. Birds of a feather sessions during the lunch break will provide further opportunities to engage with and learn from peers.

Breakout sessions will include presentations on topics such as:

  • AI
  • AV(audio/visual)/media support
  • Educational Technology
  • Innovation collaborations
  • Information Security
  • Research storage
  • Supporting early career professionals
  • and more!
