Sharing leadership voices

March 14, 2024

We recently had an opportunity to catch up with a new addition to the Senior Leadership Team, Hadar Call. Hadar joined the SLT in November after she was promoted to Associate Chief Information Officer of Enterprise Services and Platforms. In this role, Hadar leads the Community Applications, Cross Application Platforms, Advancement Technology, and Web Technology teams. Here’s what she had to say about her career at Yale, how she manages her responsibilities, and being a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

How are you managing your role and responsibilities as a senior leadership team member?

As I’m in my fourth month in this role, I’m actively learning as much as possible, getting to know team members I have not worked with before, and creating connections with leaders we collaborate with and support.

How has your role shifted as part of the SLT?

My role has evolved from overseeing the delivery of two specific services to managing a diverse portfolio of services. This shift allows me to adopt a differently informed and broader perspective when strategizing with teams and those we support to fulfill Yale’s mission.

You’ve been at Yale for over ten years. What have you enjoyed most about working here, and what led you to stay in IT?

When I think about working at Yale, two things come to mind: the diversity of work we do here and the fantastic people who work here. Throughout my time at Yale, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with many different departments, which has allowed me to deepen my understanding of Yale and grow as a professional. In addition, the exceptional individuals on our team continually inspire me with their expertise and dedication to advancing Yale’s mission.

What are some personal activities you enjoy?

I’m the mom of a 12-year-old son, so I love to spend time with him doing whatever he is into at that moment. My husband and I love paddleboarding, hiking with both rescue dogs, and spending time at any beach.
