Introducing Localist, a new event management and ticketing tool

June 13, 2024

Summary

As part of the YaleSites Upgrade Project, the Office of Public Affairs and Communication is introducing an improved event management and ticketing tool called Localist. Localist will be available to the Yale community in July of 2024.

Localist will eventually replace Bedework, the current event management tool. Bedework will remain available to the community until the Spring 2025, allowing users time and flexibility to move to Localist.

During the transition, Bedework will remain at calendar.yale.edu, while Localist will be at the new events.yale.edu. Once the transition is complete in the Spring 2025, calendar.yale.edu will be replaced by events.yale.edu.

More details regarding training and transitioning from Bedework to Localist will be included in upcoming communications.
