A message from Chief Anthony Campbell
To the Yale Community,
I write to let you know of a report of a large group of teens causing disturbances in the area of Chapel and York Streets at approximately 10:00 pm. This group was in the area of Chapel Street and the New Haven Green and were reported to be throwing rocks at people exiting a theater and downtown establishments. They assaulted one of the patrons, a graduate student, punching the individual in the face. The graduate student received medical attention. The New Haven Police are investigating. The Yale Police have increased patrols in the area and are working with the New Haven Police to identify those responsible.
