About the Program

The Brian J. Wolson Rotational Early Career Development Program, launched by Yale IT in 2013, is for recent or soon-to-be college graduates interested in careers in information technology. Participants in the program are paid competitive salaries and are eligible for Yale benefits.

The Wolson Career Development Program offers participants opportunities to have a direct impact on technology at Yale by contributing to development and support of Yale’s IT services. Learn about technology trends in higher education and gain new skills while working on IT projects in partnership with staff, faculty, and students.

This 18-month program consists of three rotations in areas within Yale IT that align with your career interests. During the program, you will have access to training and professional development workshops, classes, and resources, and will be mentored by an IT professional. Because the program emphasizes collaboration with the campus community, applicants should be organized and have excellent oral and written communication skills. The ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups is essential, as is an enthusiasm for exploring how technology can support teaching and learning. Knowledge of programming is desirable for development roles.
