Workplace Guidance for Staff
On January 27, Jack Callahan Jr., senior vice president for Operations, and John Whelan, vice president for Human Resources, sent this message to the Yale community about the staff work arrangement through June 2022 and the booster requirement.

Healthy Yale
A message on January 28 from Yale’s COVID-19 Coordinator, Stephanie Spangler, addressed this—“More good news about boosters”—and more: Read Healthy Yale message.

Important Workplace Guidance FAQ
“If I am required to isolate or quarantine due to COVID diagnosis or exposure, will I be paid my normal salary and/or will I have to use paid time off?” Find the answer to this question within the Public Health and Safety section of this page. Crisis Care Assist benefit
Per Provost Strobel’s January 13 email, the university is reinstating Crisis Care Assist as part of the Bright Horizons Back-Up Care options through March 31, 2022. Details for all three types of care follow:

  • Bright Horizons emergency back-up care in a network center (Copay is $25/day);
  • Bright Horizons emergency back-up care with a network provider (Copay is $6/hour for up to ten hours);
  • Crisis Care Assist (available only through March 31, 2022) using a provider in your own network. Employees are reimbursed $100 per day. Employees need to register with Bright Horizons to access the benefit.
