Dear Colleagues,   
Hope you are having a great winter! As we are nearing the last official milestone for the 2017 Workplace Survey (WPS) which is to TAKE ACTION, it’s time to reconnect. This is the first edition of the Workplace Survey Newsletter, which is designed to keep managers informed of resources and support for action planning.

Overview

  • The 2017 survey closed on March 15, 2017. Yale’s participation rate was 79% with a total of 7,650 faculty and staff taking the survey—very close to our goal of 80%. All clerical and technical, service and maintenance, and managerial and professional employees were invited to take the survey along with faculty within the schools of Drama, Art, & Nursing.
  • Survey results were made available beginning in May during training sessions held for managers, human resource generalists (HRG’s), and division and department leaders.
  • All leaders were asked to review and analyze results between May 5 and May 31.
  • Results were to be communicated to staff members between June 1 and June 30.

 Action Plans

  • Division, department and team leaders were asked to work with their teams between July 1 and September 30, 2017.
  • Action plans are to be entered in to the Action Tracker tool no later than December 15. Teams who enter their action plans into the Action Tracker by December 15 are eligible for a pizza party!
  • Reach out to your HRG if you need any support with creating and registering your Action Plan.
  • We aim to have 100% of the University with an actionable Plan.
