Organization Change Management at Yale” with Beth McKinley

Beth McKinley

Wednesday, July 7
3:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Join Beth McKinley, Senior Organization Change Management, who will help us prepare people for the change our various projects will bring.  On large projects at Yale, we often have an organizational change manager assigned to our project team.  However, project managers and team members often undertake this work themselves on smaller projects.

Attend this Tech Talk to learn the change management process, including looking at the change from the perspective of our stakeholders, performing a stakeholder analysis, identifying impacts, and thinking about training and communications from the stakeholder lens to ensure that your project is successful.

“Life After Yale: A Digital Retirement” with Patrick J. Lynch, Author, Illustrator, Photographer, and Artist

Patrick Lynch

Wednesday, July 21
3:00—4:00 p.m.

Patrick J. Lynch is an author, illustrator, photographer, and artist. Lynch retired from Yale University after 45 years as an interactive media designer, medical illustrator, biomedical and scientific photographer, video producer, a director of media and communications departments, and a designer of interactive multimedia teaching, training, and informational software and Web sites.

Lynch is the author or co-author of ten books published by Yale University Press, including his latest book, “A Field Guide to the Mid-Atlantic Coast.”

Pat started work at Yale 49 years ago, complex media production involved rooms full of expensive equipment and many technical specialists. Now that all has collapsed down to me and my trusty iMac, a Wacom tablet, and several cameras.

His talk will mostly be about how he writes, illustrates, and photographs content for the three books he has written since “retiring” in 2016.
